Turning Jordan

Welcome! My aim in these blog posts is to engage with ideas surrounding the canon and hermeneutics, biblical theology, and Scripture in general. The blog name comes from Psalm 114, which provides the context for my writing. Please read through anything you wish, and be sure to check out some of the pages listed to the left. If all goes according to plan I will be writing a lot. I might quote an author or a teacher that has been very influential in my theology and in my exegesis of different Biblical passages. Even though I may quote such a person, the view I am presenting may not actually be the view they hold. My goal is to be as accurate as possible with the transmission and communication of different ideas and concepts, but I may have misread a text or misheard a speaker. In that case, find fault with me, not who I am quoting. If I am quoting a written work, I will do my best to give a note as to where I found the information presented.
